I'm sorry for my long absence [again] m(_ _)m I have recently given up on another project of mine and I hope I have more time for gaze_lyrics again now... I'm going to take care of new tramslations and the translation checklist now!

And I'd also like to introduce a new rule!

"At the moment you can have a maximum of 10 translations. Please don't claim more than a total of 10 songs."

I'd just like to give everyone a more or less equal chance, therefore I would like to ask those who have already done 10 translations to not claim any more songs at the moment, thank you :3
(this rule might be lifted again if there aren't enough translators)

Since everything has to start somewhere, I have opened a "Claim post" now, where translators can choose the songs they want to translate!

Next step will be a new tag list! Since the old one won't work anymore soon, you can still find the old translations in the old lyrics archive!

This is the submission post for all lyrics translated from Japanese/English into other languages.

Please note:
- "Japanese-to-Your-language" translations are encouraged! But they are not necessary. Just make sure you've understood the English translation so that you can translate it into your native language.
- Since the mods cannot check your translation, make sure you feel confident enough about your translation.
(I might look for mods with different native languages who can check the translations. At the moment, I can only check German translations.)
- Only post a translation if a Japanese-English translation is already available. Please check the Songtext database first.
- The translation that will be posted first is going to be included in the main entry. Should there be complaints about incorrectness of the translations, it's going to be deleted.
- The translation has to be your own! Do not submit translations that you have found on the internet!
- If you have comments/notes about your translation, please post them as well and they will be included!
- Proper credit will be given for your translation at all times!

Hello dear gazette_lyrics members and users :D

As you may have noticed, the community has become pretty inactive lately. The VORTEX single hasn't even been posted yet! And today there was the release for REMEMBER THE URGE and a new album is coming up! As you see, a lot of new lyrics that should be posted soon!

However, with the way the community is now, it has become almost impossible to take care of it the way I used to. Having changed my personal account somewhere in the middle doesn't make things easier either. And somehow LJ is being kind of stupid at the moment and doesn't let me edit posts :/

Therefore I'm planning to revamp the community as a whole to make it easier to organize everything. Maybe I'll even add new mods, but I have to think about that yet. ^_^;

Basically what I'm planning to do:
1. Set up a new lyrics archive, which means: there will be new translations for ALL lyrics, no exception.
If you've submitted translations in the past and would like to submit them again, please do!
2. Members will not be able to create new posts anymore. I have set up a mod account (gl_mod) which will be the creator of all posts in g_l.
This will ensure that there will be one unique layout for each post, which will hopefully make it easier for the ones using the lyrics archive.
Further, the mods will be in charge of all the posts and translators won't have to take care of them anymore. Since there also seem to be some inactive translators, there won't be a problem with non up-to-date posts anymore (hopefully ^_^;) and a better overview etc..
Of course, credit (link to the translators LJ) will be given ALWAYS.
3. Since members will not be able to create posts anymore, there will be several posts to submit translations.
One for the Japanese to English translations (Kanji, Romaji, Translation)
And the others for translations into other languages. Languages that have been submitted frequently in the past (like Spanish, Italian, Chinese, etc) will have a post of their own, other languages will have a collective post.
4. Old translations will stay! That is, until the new archive is complete. It will take a long while until then, though, so I guess they'll still stay for a while ^_^;
5. Comments in all translation posts will be screened.
6. I'll set up a post where you can post criticism, suggestions, questions, etc.

Hello dear members and non-members who appreciate and love gazette_lyrics.

I have a small request:

Please... do not copy everything (I mean everything, even if it's "just" the kanji and romaji versions) from gazette_lyrics to post it on your own site. I've seen it done too much lately. Sites that have copied the whole lyrics archive, that is. The lyrics that are posted in this comm are here because people wanted to have them here, in this community. If you want to create your own gazette lyrics archive, please go ahead, but please also do the work yourself.

I know it's futile to repeat this over and over again. My heart just feels stabbed whenever I come accross something like this ^^;

Starting from next week, Friday, I won't be here for two weeks and then I'll be busy with uni stuff, but after that there's a major revision of whole gazette_lyrics coming up! Some translators don't seem to be active anymore, but it needs active ones to keep this archive going!
So yeah, let's see how this will turn out :D
